Boston.com Debuts Sports Ticketing Feature
Boston.com is launching a sports ticketing feature that will allow users to purchase, Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics or Bruins tickets while they pour over the details of the latest game.
The site is teaming up with ticket vendor Ace Tickets to create Boston.com Tickets, which will make available tickets at a variety of price ranges.
“We want our readers to be able to come to Boston.com as a one-stop shop for all things sports,” Christopher Rattey, Boston.com director of product development, said in a statement. “Readers can keep up to date with all the coverage of their favorite sports team, while also searching for the best tickets in the house, and then purchasing them, without ever leaving Boston.com.”
James Holzman, president and CEO of Ace Ticket said the collaboration creates a “great new ticketing platform.”
Boston.com also launched its own daily deals feature, Boston Deals, last year and expects to roll out more e-commerce offerings for a variety of interests and communities in 2012.
