Univision Inks Deal With Search Co. YaSabe


Univision Interactive, the digital division of Hispanic media company Univision Communications this week announced that it has signed a multiyear agreement to partner with YaSabe.com to offer unique bilingual content and new ways for Hispanic consumers to discover local businesses online.

“Together with YaSabe, Univision will help connect audiences to local businesses and service providers,” Jesus Chavez, senior VP of interactive at the Univision Television Group, said in a statement. “YaSabe’s advanced local and mobile search platform helps Univision provide users with relevant local information right when they need it.”

The co-branded local search applications allow users to search for products and services in Spanish or English. The system encourages social engagement, allowing users to leave comments and share information with others, the company said.

“We are pleased to expand our relationship with Univision,” said Zubair Talib, CEO of YaSabe. “As the largest and most respected brand among U.S. Hispanics, Univision attracts millions of consumers that want to find entertainment and local information that is culturally relevant.”
