Hulu Requests $200M, Partners Mull Strategy

The Wall Street Journal,

Jason Kilar, CEO of the online video service Hulu, has asked the site's owners — Disney, Comcast and News Corp. — for about $200 million to fund program purchases and an overseas expansion. It isn't known how the News Corp. and Disney, the service's two voting partners, will respond to the request, but it could prompt the owners to clarify their strategic vision for what has so far been an unprofitable venture.
