Merger Creates E-commerce Giant
Two big names in e-commerce are joining forces in a move designed to help publishers looking to find new streams of online revenue.
NimbleCommerce announced Thursday that it's merging with Group Commerce. The merger will create the world’s largest e-commerce platform and distribution network, which will operate under the NimbleCommerce brand.
NimbleCommerce describes itself as the largest offers and distribution network in the world and offers publishers tools to create paid offers, free couponds and other local marketing programs. Group Commerce was founded in 2010 and provides an assortment of ecommerce services to publishers and brands.
Among the publishers affected by the merger: Cumulus Media, Digital First Media, The New York Times Company, DailyCandy, Golf Channel, Johnston Press, The Evening Standard and Thrillist, Restaurant.com.
