UK Newspaper Ad Sales Face Bleak Forecast

The ailing newspaper advertising market in the United Kingdom is predicted to get even worse next year, with national titles forecast to face an almost 9 percent decline in 2013, according to Sir Martin Sorrell's Group M. Regional titles, however, are expected to see a slight improvement, although not enough to prevent a second year of double-digit declines. Group M, WPP's media buying division, also significantly downgraded its forecast for national newspapers in 2012.
