The Atlantic Publishes Then Pulls Advertorial

The Atlantic earlier this week pulled down content sponsored by the Church of Scientology after journalists had raised questions about how comments on the sponsored content were moderated, compared to how comments are moderated on other Atlantic content. "We now realize that as we explored new forms of digital advertising, we failed to update the policies that must govern the decisions we make along the way," the news organization said.
